Partnering with Malawi Wheels
Dates: 8/23/26 – 9/3/26
Cost: $2,800
Leader: Tim Longo & Kim Cooke
Malawi Wheels provides customized wheelchairs and health support to children with disabilities – because all people should have access to mobility, proper nutrition, and equal health care. They also plant and empower support groups so parents can find encouragement, get guidance, and gain access to rehabilitation, microloans, and educational resources. In Malawi, 7 out of 10 children with a disability do not attend school. Lack of mobility devices contributes to this. Our team will deliver wheelchairs to children in need, help with support groups, plan and run a youth/children’s VBS, help with local outreaches, and offer ministry assistance as needed for Malawi Wheels.

New Commandment Ministry
Use your skills to make a meaningful difference by helping widows and single moms in our church with home repairs and maintenance.

New Commandment Ministry
Did you know that LBF has over 50 widows in our congregation, not to mention many single moms? These women sometimes struggle to keep up with repairs and maintenance in their homes. James 1:27 instructs us to take care of widows and the fatherless.
To help carry out our Lord’s instruction, LBF is currently developing teams of men to assist these women. Once a month for two hours, men will go out in small teams to work at these women’s homes, showing them the love of God one fixed sprinkler, leaky toilet, and broken window screen at a time.
If you are a man who has the ability to mow a lawn, fix a sprinkler, paint a wall, or perform any household task, then this is a ministry for you!
Operation Christmas Child
The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through OCC, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. They do this through simple shoebox gifts delivered to children around the world. LBF Church hosts area training events, serves as a collection center, and packs hundreds of shoeboxes each year.

Operation Christmas Child
Volunteers can help with area training events, shoebox distribution and collection, and event promotion at LBF.
Pacific Lifeline
Pacific Lifeline is a faith-based ministry and shelter serving homeless women and their children. Their goal is to eliminate the threat of chronic homelessness for these families by providing the structure that allows them to establish a solid foundation and gain self-sufficiency.

Pacific Lifeline
Volunteers can sort donations, help with mailers, assist with events, do light landscape work, help with children’s group activities, tutor moms and/or kids, lead life-skills workshops, help prepare rooms when new families move in, and help decorate for the holidays.

Partnering with Baan Immanuel
Dates: Mid October
Cost: $2,800
Leader: Mike King
Baan Immanuel is the ministry born out of the heart of an American missionary named Ron, who moved to Thailand after serving in the region during his time in the U.S. military. During his service abroad, Ron recognized the deep need in the area to help orphaned and endangered children, who are at risk for becoming victims of human trafficking. Ron and his team have since helped to create five orphanages and a school operated under Baan Immanuel Ministries that provide education, safety, and a loving and nurturing environment to learn about the Lord. LBF plans to aid Ron with this short-term team by caring for orphans, providing gospel outreach to unreached villages, and helping encourage and train local disciples. The specifics on how we will meet these goals will depend on our teams unique giftings. This team is especially suited for medical missions, and those with medical skills and qualifications are encouraged to apply.
